What about ride on cars with an egg timer, that's good for turn taking. Or musical instruments, you could swap instruments when a new song comes on? Balls and bean bags, sharing and rolling the balls to each other, then placing back in the bag when it's time to pack up.

What about a song sack? Have different items in a sack, e.g. bus, star, duck and they take turns choosing one.

Does your DS know any actions to songs - he might enjoy 'teaching' these to the little one.
