Pension

Since bring a cm I haven't been paying into any pension, which given the financial way of things gives me a fright. I feel like I should be paying into a pension. I did have one with a prev company, which is now frozen until I retire.

Does anyone pay into a pension? If so what one?
Dies anyone else worry about this?

Hi, I only pay the national insurance stamp, cant remember which class though.. they also sent a letter to let me know how much and an option to top it up, worth considering if you have been employed previously as it would all count towards it. I don't know about private pensions, maybe there is some advice on the gov website?

Hi, I've been paying into a private pension since going self employed, just seems like its a good idea seeing the way state pensions are, I would look into it, mine was sorted through an adviser.

Course not, its a company called Skandia, you pay in an amount you choose and then the govt tops it up.
