Default feel guilty for uncontracted hours

    Hi all,
I charge 32 per day from 7.30 until 6pm and 6 per hour for uncontracted hours and days. However if it is just a swop of day normal fees applybut a new day or extra hours 6 pounds per hour.

Do u think it is 2 much. ? I have 2 kids of mine so only have space for I under 5 and the under 5 I have does 2 days a week. Mum wants to bring him tomorrow in additipn so would be 66 pounds

If the parents know your charges I don't see why it's a problem. Yes the price difference is a lot but if they are aware and still have requested the hours then its fine :-)

I see why you would charge that much for unsociable hours but it is quite steep for a normal day. If you don't want to work it then charge the higher rate, if you are happy to work I would just charge the normal rate.

I class unsociable hours as outside 7.30-6.00 not adding an extra day as that would be normal fees and as far as im concerned an added bonus as using hours not currently used.

I'd charge the day rate for each day so £96 for the three days.

I think you are cheap - that is 11.5 hours for under £3 an hour. I would go with your contract and charge the higher amount
