Default Can a childminder have an assistant in England if they are not British?

    Hi

Im in the process of finding an assistant and was wondering if anyone knows if you can employ an assistant who isnt English/British in terms of the DBS checks?

I would be so grateful as Im hoping I can!

    Thanks

I'm a registered cm and I'm American. Your assistant will probably have to get some sort of certificate of good behaviour from their home country and submit it with the DBS application.

I lived overseas within the 5-yrs before registering as CM here and had to get a CRB from the country I lived in. Could be a similar thing for this person.
