Sorry haven't any experience of doing a care plan - I would just get detailed information from the parents about allergy, what happens when exposed to allergen, what action to take. Depending on what the allergy was I would then decide if I could safely prepare meals for this child or if I would prefer the parents to supply all food/snacks for day and whether I needed to tell other parents to not send a certain food in their child's lunch box. Hope someone with experience answers soon.

I can't find the care plan I used for a child with allergies but this is one someone sent me!
    ( hopefully attached! )

I also made sure I had listed who to call, the nurses who were part of the care team contact details etc.

I had a long chat with the nurse in charge of LO care, and he also came to visit me to ensure I was trained in using an epipen etc.

    good luck x

The dept of Education have a document called 'Managing medicine in schools and Early years settings. It has been around for a while...but is quite informative and in the appendix there is a health care plan.

    Hope this helps.

Just had a quick look on website that I prviously suggested and found on the right hand side templates for all the forms needed when dealing with medicine and healthcare - they can easily be adapted for a childminding setting.

How long until you start minding them? I used to have to write care plans and can help you write one but I'm away now until next Weds. I'm on the forum on the app and would need my laptop to write one! If you want some help PM me x
If you do not hope, you will not find what is beyond your hopes
