The freezer has defrosted left freezer door open all night it on the carpet it smell of fish and meat cannot get the smell out help

Let the carpet dry put, sprinkle bicarbonate of soda leave over night and hoover.
If that doesn't work sprinkle with at least a large big jar of coffee leave over night and Hoover.

Oh dear - what about the contents - have you had to put it all in the bin? You can cook raw meat and then either just put in fridge and eat it or you can then re-freeze it.

Yep coffee, sounds weird but worked a treat when my mum spilt a roasting pan of meat and juice over her carpet and it stank to high heaven!x

Let the carpet dry thoroughly, use baking soda as recommended earlier and then if possible run a steam cleaner filled with distilled white vinegar over the carpet. White vinegar is an effective acidic cleaner. It kills bacteria and removes odours.
Once the carpet is dealt with, try putting vanilla essence in a cup and putting it in the oven...makes the whole house smell nice
