On line course to become a childminder?

Is there an online course my assistant can take to become a qualified childminder?
We are rural and she can't get to the local training place easily.
Any advice much appreciated.

Pacey do the cypop5 on-line but not all areas accept the on-line course some areas want you to do their own course as it adds local info in. I think you need to speak to your LA to check.

Thanks yes ours don't accept it!!

So she has to do a tortuous one train and two bus routes to get to the training Centre

No problem - shame we live in a rural area too and a lot of our training is about 35 miles away. Important ones are about 14 miles away but the interesting extras are sometimes too far particularly when they put them on at 1800 in the week.
