Because yet again childminding or childcare qualifications seem to be worthless in the real world. You can do an apprenticeship in childcare now, work for £2.65 an hour for god knows how many years and get an NVQ3 qualification - just the same as you can in plumbing, car mechanics and electricians but I bet they could all get into Australia if they wanted to
