    Default Twins

    Hi
My reg is for up to 4 children ( small house) 1 under 1 and not more than 2 under 5's

Anyway I have had an enquiry about two one year old twins one day a week.

I already have one under 1 ..so what are the rules on twins?

    Thanks for any help

Are they 1 already if so you should be ok to have them as long as you can cope with three young ones

Risk assess, you maybe able to grant yourself a variation, work out space requirement too

Does the not more than 2 under 5 include the 1 under 1 or is it in addition?
If you can have 1 under 1 AND ANOTHER 2 under 5 then you will be fine taking on the twins.
If you're certificate restricts you to a TOTAL of 2 under 5 then you will need to contact Ofsted for a variation & new certificate (You can only work to what is written on your certificate) This may not be a problem as Ofsted seem to be relaxing their space related ratios.
