Agencies...what will it mean???

After reading so many different pieces about all the changes, the one I ma most concerned about is the agencies.

I've read so much, including transcripts etc that I don't actually know what they will mean - the only information I seem to have gained is that it will cost us money & we won't get to choose our own families??

Am I right or am I completely missing the point?

We've had so little information coming out so far that anything you do hear or read is probably only speculation. The only "facts" I think I've read are that agencies will not be compulsory and that agencies will be able to either employ childminders or leave them as self employed.

There have been no firm facts on fees, whether or not we can chose our own families etc. Until some agencies are actually set up & tell us what their terms & conditions are, we're all still pretty much in the dark

As Mouse says we are still waiting for further clarification.

At the moment the most important thing is to make your MP aware of your concerns so they all ask questions for us.
