    Default Playroom

Anybody else converted their garage in to a playroom? Is there a lot of work involved? & could any of the expenses go through my accounts?

    Thanks x

We did. It cost £3,200 and was all done within a week. The longest hold up was was the building regulations required all sorts of different things. We were lucky that our house already had a door into garage so there was no need to do any knocking through. No planning permission was needed due to it being a garage attached to the house, but you need to check all these things with your local council planning department. You can't put any cost of the build through your expences although you can put through things like storage units if only used for childminding. Our room is only a play room and my office so is not used for anything else.
