Lots of plastic toys can go in the dishwasher- lego, playmobile, megabloks, little people, etc, anything without paper stickers on. You just have to find a way to contain it, not tried it but I think a net laundry bag works if the plastic bits do not go through the holes. And then allow time for it to air-dry in any nooks and crannies.

What a great idea!! I hate cleaning mine and normally tip it all into the bath and spend hours cleaning and drying it- if this works it'll save so much time and effort

What about using one of those washing bags that you use for socks? Surely it would work on the top shelf of the dishwasher as long a you made sure it couldn't snag on anything.

Wooden blocks are my pet hate. All my babies seem to be chewing on them at the moment! What about a quick wash in the dishwasher?

I've put stuff like this in the washing machine in a sealed pillowcase before now

    Don't have a.dishwasher, though
Apologies for the random full stops. Phone buttons too small, thumbs too big.

Thanks Laura, mine aren't particularly dirty but babies are always chewing on the happyland people and I hate cleaning them! This sounds a much easier way!

I washed Megablocks in the dishwasher recently only problem was I didn't put it all in upside down so I then had to drain them but it was great! Have also done the play food in it

Duplo in washing machine even in a pillow case still makes a terrible racket - I just tend to spread mine out on a plastic sheet and spray liberally with anti bac spray.
