    Default Help Please!! Information Sharing from Parents

    In light of the new EYFS I have decided to change the way I do my learning Journeys and am writing for ideas of information sharing for parents to give them ideas of things that would be useful information. I have done an info sheet to give out, but need all you lovely Childminder's ideas in case there is something I may have missed... here is what I have so far ....

    New interests
    New fav toys/books
    Games like to do at home
    memorable moments
    plans for weekends/holidays
    share photos
    messages from pre-school
    Accidents or sickness
    New likes or fears
    Achievements
    Things for supporting their child
    Responses to each days activities/info

    Is there anything else I may have missed ?

    Thank you xx

    Hi Wendy, thats sounds fab.

    Every term I send home a parent feedback sheet which has boxes for parents to write in. I ask them
    1. My favourite activities and interests are;
    2. My favourite story/rhyme/song at the moment is;
    3. My recent achievements are;
    4. Things I am finding tricky at the moment:
    If all else fails......add glitter!

    This is really helpful. After being on a recent course, I have realised I need to try to encourage parents participation. The parents are pretty good - I use an online system and they often write comments, however I think I still need to be a bit more proactive and I am hoping that they will respond.
