    Default A little reminder

    Hi,

Can anyone please remind me/confirm if I need to tell Ofsted that following the fire in my kitchen, I am going to have workmen coming in over two days to redo the kitchen i.e painting, reflooring etc.

Obviously it's not safe to have the kids around especially because everything from the kitchen needs to be moved to the living room so I will still continue to care for the children i would ordinarily have at my co childminders' friends place during the work hours.... where I am allowed to work from (as have already ofsted of this a while ago)

Would I still need to do a RA for the works if the kids aren't around?

If Ofsted already know about the fire and where you are going to be while the works are being done then I wouldn't tell them again unless something serious has happened to stop you from working.

Although having said that there is never any harm in contacting them and letting them put a note on your file - just in case of a query in the future.

You wouldn't need to risk assess if the children aren't around.

    Hope you are ok x
