    Default returning/starting childminding after birth

Hi, I have just finished my training induction 2 weeks ago & was about to send of my scswis forms back but before I did this I found out last week that I was 8 weeks pregnant. By the time the form process is done I will be in my 20+ weeks & my question is how long did you wait to resume or start childminding after a given birth?

Looking for advice before I should start scswis process

It's up to you how long you take / can afford to take off work after the birth tbh.

You are self employed as a childminder so nobody will tell you. It's about whether you are well enough to work.

Some childminders who have families with them go back really quickly... others take a few months but then tend to lose the children and have to start again.

I hope it all goes well for you!
