Default advice please for potty training

    HI
I look after a lo who has been potty training for the last 2 weeks and is doing fab!! all his wees are done on the potty and we have only had 1 accident, the problem is that he really cant understand that he needs to do his number 2's on there aswell. He seems to do it then tell me after the event!!!! And when i say ' oh dear have we had an accident lets clean you up, next time shall we try and get it in the potty' he smirks and thinks its funny arrrgh!
Mum is really concerned that he cant seem to do a number 2 on the potty and only in his pants i have tried to reassure her that he just needs time but she is still worried about him, Just wondered if anybody had come across this before and what strategies they had used, i currently have a star chart for him to tick everytime he uses the potty and it has def worked for his wees

It's quite common especially with boys for some reason.

Just give him time and lots of praise when he starts to get it
