    Default PARENTS

    GGGRRRRRR
yet again another parent with holiday issues.
For the last 6 months I have informed parents of my holiday dates (bank hols and holiday dates) in my newsletter, on website and verbally.
My first planned day off in over a year of CMing is next friday parent arrives today and says
"you know next week isn't a bank holiday but you've got it off"
Yes I know it's a bank holiday, it's my first day off in a year and a half, I'm off camping.
"Oh, my boss is away I'll have to see if I can get the day off"

They've both just had 2 weeks off to spend with visiting family and that was no problem

"And you've got a week in September?"
Yes again first holiday in 3 years (and first one alone with OH!!)
"That should be ok, I've got 20 days holiday left"

parents make me so angry sometimes

Most only think of what affects them. Have a great trip and don't think about their petty comments.

I've learned not to let it bother me.

I tell parents when I'm taking holiday or days off verbally, in my newsletter, in the daily diary and as a note on the invoice.

When I remind them, I still get the odd comment "oh, I don't know if I'll be able to get the time off work".
I say "I'm sure you'll sort something out"... And leave it at that
