    Hi all, i was hoping someone could help,ive just qualified as a childminder on the compulsory register but still awaiting for my number from offsted,but dont know what to do now....with insurance...self employed status...and tax credits as im a single mum thank you zoe xx

    So you are just awaiting your certificate... congratulations.
    What you need to do is register as S/E with HMRC
    Decide who you want to go with MM or NCMA are the primary options and i am not sure if you can get it started or have the option to delay the start until you get some kiddiwinks
    Get advertising and get some children

    how do you mean with TC's?

    Thank you....I have children waiting just cant wait to get going!!
    With the tax credits am i still aloud to claim as i will be self employed? x

    Yes you can still claim. You will need to inform them you are self employed and they will ask you what you think you will earn. You don't give them your gross figure. The figure you give will be after you have taken off wear and tear and expenses.
