    Default Play food

Does anyone have any recommendations for really good realistic play food? I would prefer wooden but will consider plastic if it is really good. I am not too concerned on price as I have quite a hefty budget

    Any ideas?

I just put out a selection of real foods each day.

I tend to save packaging for them. Mini cereal boxes etc. Or do you mean fruit and veg?

In an ideal world that is what I would do too but I just don't think it is practical to be able to supply enough of each food daily to give a good choice.

I am looking for healthy eating mainly and obviously I have searched online but recommendations are always better

We have this set and I think the food in it looks fairly realistic:

I've just bought the ikea fruit and vegetables play food and think that's quite good.

The Melissa and Doug range is excellent and you can buy it from Amazon using the forum link -

I have looked at those 3 thanks Sarah and Pixiepetal. I particularly like the crates by bigjigs. I have just bought the bigjigs sink and I am really pleased with that but I wondered if anyone had any of the food. It is really difficult to get a good idea online.

Another vote here for the Melissa and Doug range.

I was lucky enough to buy some 2nd hand but they are excellent quality, great variety and most importantly the kids love them!
