    Default Can not get funding

    Hi,

I had Parenta call me for my appointment today and because I have completed and ncfe Level 2 as a Teaching assistant within the last 5 years I am not eligible for the funding. I was told when they called the first time to arrange the appointment not to mention the course but I am very honest and did not want it back firing and them finding out and then owing them money.

I would really love to do a course in Childcare but now don't know what to do. I don't drive so there are not any courses at college I am able to get to and don't know if I did a course from home it would be classed as NVQ. Any ideas?

    Thanks

You have to be very careful about courses - some have been shown to be wrong and not giving the qualification people expected.

There was an article in Nursery World magazine about it recently.

I always suggest childminders take advice from their local trainers before starting any course just to make sure it's genuine.
