I did it!

Well, I finally went to the drop in this morning.

It was ok, managed to get another childminder friend to come along with me so at least we had each other there!

It was very quiet, only 6 of us

But plenty of kids, all about the same age so that was good.

My little ones enjoyed themselves, thats the main thing.

I hate starting these things, everyone seems so clicky!

I know how you feel. I hate going to new places and have been to some awful groups where they are so clicky and don't talk.

I hate going to these things alone aswell so my group i got a friend childminder to come along. I go every week now & she's never been back

I have tried two different ones locally and have not got on very well with either.

I want one like the ones in the NCMA magazine, that organise activities and group outings, fundraising etc.

Do they actually exist?? Is any one in one of those groups??

Well, perhaps they just didn't like me either

Well done on taking the plunge. I understand entirely where you are coming from. I went to my cm group and I hate walking in anywhere new, but I have made some great friends there. Unfortunately our numbers are only around 6 - 8 depending on who has children on those days. It's nice to chat to other like minded people.

I know how you feel I have just started to go to a cm group but luckly like you I had two other cm friends to go with and we did find it a bit clicky to begin with but now everyone talks to each other and the children get on really well.
