    Default Babysitting at hotel

Ive had an email from a lady that is coming from abroad to a wedding and is looking for a babysitter to look after her baby (8months) and two other children of other guests (4 months and 18 months) during the wedding and into the early hours of the morning. I wouldnt mind doing it but I phoned to check if my PLI covers this and it does not

Do I need to get a different type of insurance? Do any other childminders do babysitting as well?

I know NCMA cover you as long as you fill out one of their Babysitting forms.

If you are not caring for the children in your own home as their childminder then it is just a straightforward babysitting job isn't it? Why would you need insurance for babysitting in a hotel room?

I would view it as a completely different scenario from my day job.

Dd does it - she charges per hour, more after midnight plus a taxi home.

She gets quite a lot of work from the local hotels now they know she is reliable they recommend her.
