Does anyone have any experience/ knowledge about this?
Any of you had a child with it?
Probably a long shot, but it has just crossed my mind.
If anyone has anything they can share, I'd be grateful.

sorry hon no, other than the usual babies chewing everything
if you do what you've always done, you'll get what you've always got
Oh yes, I have had two of my own and a couple in my care that eat all sorts of odd things.

I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand
I've seen a few articles in the paper about this recently and am wondering if it's becoming more common?
When I was pregnant with both my sons, I used to chew bath sponges, but I never used to physically eat/swallow them.
Hope someone comes along with some knowledge to help you hun x

a friends daughter has this, she eats toilet rolls. {full}
my katie has this....we have locks on the fridge and freezer...as well as the bin cupboard. she has grown out of this quite a bit but she will eat and eat...she is never full. this is a problem as she has diabetes and is over weight.
it is sometimes linked with a learning disability (like katie)...
when she was little she would eat stuff out of bins, off the pavement etc...was horrid. she only ate food though....but it could be uncooked or frozen
