Do you have a trail period for when children first start with you?

I normally do a settling in period of 4 weeks (having already ad a few sessions) whereby either party can end the contract without notice

Not for me! Settling-in is 2 1 or 2 hour sessions...

Month's trial starts when they are on contract with me and here for normal times. Settling-in can be faked... they can't keep it up through normal sessions

For me (and I think it says on the NCMA contracts) no notice is required on either side during this period

What would you write about paying for the time you have been minding the child? If they have paid in advance would the money be refunded for the time they don't use?

Yes I think you would have to refund any money for unused hours ( in this instance only ).
