Default Help with Fire Evacuation Plan

    Good evening to you all,

Does anyone have good ideas on how to teach a 1 and 2 year old about fire evacuation and where to go. Sometimes when I try to explain they just don't listen and want to do someting else.

The majority of 1 and 2 year olds need picking up and taking outside.

It's like trying to teach them to cross roads... best left until they are developmentally able.

By 2 1/2 they should have some understanding that fire burns, that things are hot and hurt and that when a bell rings they have to watch you and do as you say.

Some 3 year olds still need picking up and taking outside.

    Hope this helps

I am sure the more you do it the children will just get used to it anyway

If they dont listen point them in the right direction let them copy you or carry them like Sarah suggested

    Good luck
