    Default contracts???

    hi,
    I was just wondering if we have to have a contract with a parent??? can we look after children with out one??? i've got enrolment froms filled in so have address's phone numbers and everything else but was just wondering if we need a contract

    yes you must have a contract which is signed by both parties before the child comes into your care.

    Without one you are not insured

    You don't have to have a written contract. you'd be mad not to 'cos you could have an awful time proving your case re. non-payment, insurance etc. But, legally, you don't have to. After all, parents mostly don't have contracts with schools but insurance is still valid.
    it's mostly for payment, disagreement purposes etc.
    Again, not having one would be lunacy but not illegal!
