OFSTED Inspections - news from my Network

I had an email yesterday from my network co-ordinator to say that OFSTED are inspection everybody who has not been inspected since Sept 08, & even if you had been inspected say Feb '08 people were still getting the call for their inspection.

So basically - looks like we're all being inspected now EYFS has been in for the last year.

We were told this last year. Apparently when EYFS came in, in Sept 08 for all childcare providers (nurseries included) the inspection calendar started back at 0. So therefore you could still be inspected under EYFS even if you had been inspected in June 08 for example. My childminding friend was inspected in Jan 08 and was then inspected under EYFS in Dec 08. The same with our local preschool - inspected April 08 and then again Feb 09 under EYFS.
