    Default a quick question about the EYFS

    If a child is in full time education, but is only 4, I am aware that he doesn't come under the 'under 5 category' for numbers.

    But does he still come under the EYFS until the 31 August after his 5th birthday, therefore keeping a learning journey on him. Just checking things haven't changed again.

    That is correct but you do need your certificate of registration amending to include the wording
    when caring for 4 or 5 year old children who are in full time education, may increase the number in the early years group by the number of children in full time education, providing the maximum number is not exceeded (Early years Register)
