1st days work as a childminder!!!

And pleased to say i thought it was FANTASTIC!!

Really enjoyed and so did my mindee. He's 6 and was completly worn out by the end of the day! Let's just say his mum was very happy and said he'll sleep well tonight!

Got a mum coming around thursday to see me about having her 2 year old full time. She was really positive on the phone so fingers crossed.

Just wanted to let everyone know that i LOVE BEING A CHILDMINDER!
BUT i know it's only been one day!

Yeh my legs are so tired. Didn't sit down all day! With my mindee and my own lo who's 15 months i'm shattered. Really enjoyed though!

I have my first day on Friday and I am really nervous!!!!!

Mindee is coming today for couple of hours settling in session. I am really nervous about that too!!!!!

Well done. I was terrified on my first day. I didn't know how I was going to cope with no-one to talk to. Didn't need to worry though, there was no time to worry about it!

That was my biggest downer since I've been minding and I found it really difficult in the first few years. Now I have a lovely balance of making sure I have plenty of daily contact with adults, usually only for an hour each day but it really helps me.

You are right it is a great job and the god days far out weigh the bad but when they come along you only have to look at the little ones and you quickly remember why you started it
