    Default Right, time to start.....

    ....my SEF

I have been putting it off for a while but I have had the phonecall from Tribal to see if I am minding and it's only a matter of time before my first inspection

I am beyond nervous and need to get this SEF done asap. How long did it take you to complete? Anyone know how long I may have between the call to check on mindees and the call for an inspection??

I am sure I will be on here to pick your brains over the next few evenings

I've been minding 4 years and am overdue my second inspection. It's taken me a week to complete my SEF not sure if that's how long it's meant to take or whether I'm just slow lol!!!

Sarah707 on here sells a great ebook which really helped me to fill mine out. If you find her name and click on the link to her website you will find it.

    Good luck!

I have the e-book, just printing it now. Even that scares me - it's huge, but looks like it will be a good help!

Just take it one section at a time, don't repeat yourself - if you've already covered something in another section say so and refer back to the page number, the further you get into it the more time this will save you.

    Good luck

Sarah's ebook will defiantly help... I spent days on mine before Ms O came and although not completed she was happy with what i'd done. I'm just waiting for my report to come in and then i'll sit down and complete the SEF and update at same time What I have done is online now to so that will save me time.

As for time between, mine was 3 weeks but one week was 1/2 term not sure if that made a difference or not.

But be warned when they do call you may not get much time before they arrive... mine called me the Tuesday at the time I would have left for school but I was running late... and said she'd be here Wednesday/Thursday or Friday... she arrived 10am Wednesday .

3 weeks? OMG - that's not long and knowing my luck they will call this week when i still need more time. Most of my paperwork is up to date, just need to tidy up folders (add contents pages and intro's) and write up a few obs.

I have my NVQ assessor here on Tuesday too so have that to think about as well.

Bye bye lazy Sunday - Hello paperwork
