New childminder and the SEF

I am a newly regestered childminder and i know of the
sef but wondered if you wise girls can tell me more about it as in do i have to do one ect? any advice is more than welcome. thanks Jennie

I don't do and have never done one.

It is very important to have some sort of self evaluation process - and it will be even more important now with inspections under the revised EYFS.

You can either do the Ofsted SEF (which will be changed soon) or your own self evaluation and action planning for the future - it's up to you.

Hopefully the new SEF will be out soon and we can all have a good look at it... in the meantime it is a good idea to write down when you make changes to your provision so you can put them into your SEF at a later date.
