Shall i wait for a new SEF?

Ofsted were due Feb this year and no sign as yet...i want to update my SEF but am i wasting my time? If the story's are correct i may not get another inspection until the new Eyfs comes into place and i assume the SEF will be adjusted! Shall i just wait?

If you have had an EYFS inspection then you are highly unlikely to have another one before September...

However, you should be self assessing all the time. Your thoughts now can go into your SEF when you write it so do spend time jotting down when things change, how you improve your provision etc.

I did my SEF in September and meant to redo it before my inspection (which was June) - I hadn't time. I had printed it out and made notes all over the paperwork, so what I said I wanted to improve on I ticked off or made notes of how I had improved and made further notes on what else I wanted to do. I told the inspector I hadn't updated it online but I had been making notes and she said that was fine and she would go through it when she came.
If you do do it maybe you could save a copy so that when they do the new format you can copy and paste any relevant bits!

Hi I went on a new EYFS course yesterday and apparently the SEF will be revised inline with the new EYFS. However, if you would like to complete the SEF form now all information will be transferred into the new form. Apparently the new form will be shorter. If you received a good or outstanding in your last inspection it is likely that you will be inspected at 4 years. Angy
