Default 1st inspection - how long?

I'm in the process of getting registered and I'm wondering how long it takes for the Care Commission to arrange the first visit once they have received all the paperwork from banks, doctors etc?

    Thanks

Hi there, Im not exactly sure how long it took, but I had my 1st visit before my references were back then I had a 2nd visit...from the start of the application process to registering it took me about 3 months if that helps.xx

    Hi there,

I first applied in August 2010 and got my inspection on Friday last week...my application did take unusually long, the Care Commission officer apologised!

I would advise to keep on everyone's back i.e. doctor, fire brigade, bank, referee etc to make it as quick as possible.

P.S. The Care Commission is now becoming the SCSWIS on 1 April 2011, but if you have already submitted your application, it will be completed under the CC guidelines (like mine).

    Good Luck

    Dana
