    Default 1st inspection due so...

    Hi All
First inspection due on 11th January

just a question, first of many me thinks...

How many risk assessments does everyone have in place. I have one that covers indoors, outdoors, car outings, garden etc. in a column i have whether it is done daily, weekly, monthly or annually. I do a visual risk assessment everyday anyway - should i be jotting this down anywhere? Sorry but i think i'm way behind here... I got a month to catch up!

    Thanks for your help

Ofsted published a fact sheet about RA's in the summer which might answer your questions

I have a daily check list - I don't write down every day and date that I have checked everything but I do make a note if anything needs sorting and what I did about it.

Some cm's do make a daily check and write down that they have every day - you just need to be able to say why you do what you do if Mrs O asks.
