Default Risk assessment - water temps

I have just been doing some risk assessments, and I have done one for our down stairs toilet which is used by the mindees. Now having looked through at a few different risk assessment I have seen that water temperature regulation comes in!

How does anyone risk assess that please? I know that the water could be too hot, but what action could I put into place, other than supervision with the taps?

Any advice please would be great!

I can't help with your risk assessment, but wanted to add that I've got a thermostat on my hot tap in the downstairs bathroom (the hot tap is connected to both hot and cold water, with the thermostat being the mixer) It is set at 42C which is warm enough for handwashing but the children cannot scald themselves.

You need to either set the thermostat on your boiler to the right temperature or wash each child's hands in a bowl of mixed hot and cold water... but you must run a fresh bowl and clean the bowl between each use to prevent cross contamination.
