Just put the tree up and made a version of your risk assessment Mel for my tree and house. Thanks for the reminder.

To be honest its only been a priority as Ofsted are visiting me in 2 weeks and I refuse to not put up the decorations because of this!

I have added that no alcohol will be wrapped under the tree, and that all Xmas lights will be turned off while the children are sleeping. Also important I think, is that plug sockets are not overloaded. I buy a few new plug boards each year especially for Xmas (as the ones from last year never turn up!!)

I got round it by buying trees that are only one half, they are flat backed and hang on the wall, they come already decorated, they are only 12 inches high, but that suits me as I have cats as well as little mindees.
