Default A few questions help needed

Hopefully someone can help? I am looking at taking on an assistant, my friend is going to do this but which steps do I do first? Also who pays for checks, crb etc I have also read some conflicting opinions re assistants about the age of children!

Is it true she would not be able to be on her own with 5 yr olds and older?

All help is very gratefully received xx
