    Default Assistant Enquiry!

Hi, I would like to registered my hubby as my assistant, I have read other posts on here how some childminders have registered there's to help with school pickups on wet days etc, that is the reason I want to. I have spoken to Ofsted so know what I have to do for them but my enquiry is Trio came to see me last week and when I mentioned it to her she said if I would have to treat him as an employee and pay him the minimum wage, have employee contract, do staff appraisals etc. This seems like a lot of hassle for the odd half an hours work, which wouldnt be a regular thing.

Any advice will be greatfully received.

Sorry I've no idea but sounds a bit OTT to me, surely he will be a volunteer not an employee? Someone will come along who can help I'm sure!
