I would give Ofsted a ring and ask what age an assistant has to be to have sole care, if they say 16 is ok then she need only register as an assistant not as a cm.

You would also need to know that the parents were happy for her to collect their children and have written permission from them.

I was told that an assistant must be 18 to have sole care for a child.

Your daughter may also need to complete the paediatric first aid course.

Ring Ofsted and see what they say,

    Good luck

hi, i wanted to do the same with my daughter as she had her CRB,,,
OFSTED told me she would not be allowed to be left unsupervised with the children until she is 18yrs old,

she has more contact with the children now as a household member!!

i too wanted her to help with school runs as one of the babies is always asleep just as we need to set off for school,,, so baby has to go bed in the pram so not to disturb her!

I would give ofsted a ring but your daughter is not much help until she 18 sorry.
