Library book then if something happens you don't have to replace it, the Library expects some children's books will be damaged

if you want a rainbow fish activity for toddlers try making them out of paper plates and stick some silver foil on for the shiny scale, i made them today with a couple of 2 year olds. they loved it.

    Hardback, definitely.

For lots of our favourite books I have them in paperback and harback or board version. The children love to follow the story in their copy while I read from the paperback.

i would prob go for hardback to be safe but it really depends on age of the toddler and how good they are with books! mine are taught to respect books and look after them, they don't get left on the floor and are put away if not being read. its ok with mine at mo as parents do this too.

I go for an in between approach. Children are taught to respect books, but I have a basket full of board books that the really little ones chew, bend backwards, stand on, make bridges out of & drool all over! I want them to look after the books, but I don't want them thinking they have to treat them with kid gloves for fear of damaging them.
