You many have already spotted this, but for those who haven't it's a useful feature.

If a thread you've been reading has new posts you can jump down to the first new one you have not read, rather than having to scoll down.

Just click the 'view first unread' below reply. See screenshot below:

when your on the thread list page if you press the blue button next to the thread title (the little button that is like a v inside) this also does the same but just saves you having to actually go into the thread first.

no that little button takes u to the last thing posted, sometimes it happens to be the last thing u read, but not always - i was missing posts this way, i find the other way much better

doesnt do that to me it takes me to the last thing i read everytime
