Hi! Ofsted were meant to come before christmas, but got cancelled twice, it was rebooked for this week, they came on Wednesday and i got a GOOD! i am so pleased, it was my 1st one and i was very nervous! The only issue raised was my lack of ICT skills for the children
This site has been so helpful, so thankyou all, hope to get to know you all better now i have more time and won't feel guilty for being on here.

Ooh good luck! It wasn't as bad as i was thinking, had all my paperwork out on the table ready for her and just left her to it, she came to me when she needed something. For some reason though i didn't expect her to quiz my mindee (apart from 'do you like it here?') but when i went to the kitchen she asked mindee (age 4) 'what do you do when you hear the fire alarm?' i could have kissed E when she said 'line up at the door and then we have to wait outside' Bless her!! She also asked lots of safeguarding questions and asked what i would do in various situations.Quote:

but got question what ICT skills do they ask about?
i am very good in using computer:(
she wanted me to let the children use the computer so they learn simple programmes and mouse control. She did say it doesn't have to be purely on the computer, any technology will do, playing with tills (which we do) turning the tv on, using remote (again we do) but she also said about them usings cameras which i had thought of doing but hadn't got around to!
