ncma accounts books!
I just started working in january, as a member of NCMA i bought the 'toolkit' which has the accounts book inside.
Do i need to use the NCMA accounts book for jan-mar 09 or can i just use photo copied sheets instead?
Seems a waste to 'have' to use an expensive accounts book for just 3 months!
Am i legally bound as an NCMA member to have to use the NCMA accounts book?
Cheers x

mine is set up similar to ncam book but on excell so I can add to it it calculates for me as Hubby coded it all then I print it out at the end of the month.

Re: ncma accounts books!
I bought the accounts book....
My accountant said its very vague, she wanted a more in depth detailed view of my expenditure. So i dont use it....I will use it as a general record but ive created a spreadsheet that calculates each week and then month etc. I will use the payments received bit in the back for payments in only.
Just hope either way my year end tax bill will be small

Re: ncma accounts books!
You dont have to use it at all. I do all mine on a spreadsheet- much easier

Re: ncma accounts books!
I have used the Ncma one for years now. My accountant is fine with it I don't know why it is 'vague'.
I have earned over the agreed limit for the short returns for the last three years now and I still use the NCMA book and my parents always sign their page in the back each month confirming their payments.
I detail everything I buy and claim, the only difference is that I have to have a reciept for everything I have bought. If I have a heavy month as it were I photocopy and extra page.
Yes of course you can photocopy pages for Jan to 6th April. Very sensible.

Re: ncma accounts books!
I would have thought that NCMA would have copyright on these. Be careful.
I would check with them to see first.
