Help!
I am just going through my bits and bobs and I am writing up what needs to be completed before my pre-reg inspection next week.
I just had a thought, I have a cupboard in the bathroom that is full of shampoos/bubble bath/deodrants/perfume etc all the usual things you would find! I will put the razors in my bedroom (isn't going to be registered and will be locked!) but can I leave the rest of the things on the shelves or have they all got to be removed?? Bottom shelf is accessible by my 2yr old but top two shelves are not as easy - unless they use the step or climb on the bath
I really hope not because my house isn't my 'house' anymore its being taken over by a nursery!!!

Re: Help!
As long as they are out of reach they should be fine. I have shampoo etc on the window sil above the bath and on the shelf behind the loo. I have 2 cupbords full of stuff. Any pills and such are in a cupboard in awalk in cupboard in my bedroom out of site of any mindees and my bedroom is registered for use at Ofsteds suggestion and they were happy. I think it is common sense.
What would you move out of the way of your children?
Think about the children who would be using the bathroom independently.
Do a risk assessment to demonstrate that you have thought about it and include the bathroom on your morning risk assessment list.
Good luck for your inspection.:)

Re: Help!
Good advice from Ricky.
Don't forget though that poisons eg cleaning fluid, loo cleaner, medication etc has to be locked away anyway, so you might as well put a lock on most other things too! :D

Re: Help!
I know what you mean about your home changing. My own kids don't touch the stuff we have out even though they can reach it, although i know it won't be acceptable to Ofsted so it needs to be moved:(
