baby with oxygen
I have a request from a parent who have a 10month old baby on oxygen all day who contacted me to care for the baby from 5 days a week from 9am to 3h30 pm. She said I do not need a training for that. I am bit hesitated. what would yous advise? Pls need to reply to her. I do not want to discriminate if I do not really a training for that and because I have a space I will be happy to do it. I just want to have someone else point of vue pls. Urgent

I'm not sure how 'oxygen' works- is there a tank that could run out? tubes to change? batteries to charge and carry about? I'm sure some training would be needed.
I would want training or at the very least a meeting with the baby's GP and/or Consultant and a signed letter to say I had been informed of what I needed to do.
I would also talk to my insurance company to make sure I would be covered. Our local authority has a care plan form we can complete. I've completed one for a child with asthma.
