Pinterest really is an amazing resource - can you see boards without being a member?
We put paint into ziploc bags and the children squish it around - we used foam soap and glitter a while ago and that worked well too :D

These r the first activities that come up on pintrest.
It always prompts me to join x
Ok, so, question....is this type of activity considered "messy play" even though it's not messy!! :-) x
It is a really good way to encourage children who don't like getting messy to messy play. They can explore and keep clean. :)
It's worth doing. 'Joining' just means signing up and logging in with an email address. You don't have to pay anything, post anything, be visible to anyone or be at all active on there. I don't interact with anyone on there. You don't have to be 'on' Pinterest, like you do Facebook. Joining literally means you sign up and log in to see the ideas.
It's such a huge resource and it's a shame you're so against using it. It's like having a massive library on your doorstep then refusing to go in because you'd have to get a library card first.
We do paint in bags or hair gel and sequins or small foam letters. I put some bags of hair gel in the fridge so they're cold to touch. My favourite bags are the Ikea ones - very strong and with a double seal bit
