Champagne nurseries...lemonade funding

It does refer only to nurseries ...as it is becoming normal everything seems to be nursery related while it is NOT ...but it will be the same for Cms....in fact our figures will be even worse

Share it with parents if you will ;) and share widely in the hope parents understand the conundrum about 'cost of childcare' ...as if it is not already in the news enough...and never again we hear 'free childcare'....there is no such thing!!

Just realised that my 'lemionade' typo has lost its fizz....
If nurseries can be champagne....can CMs be ' Prosecco' settings?
Leaning towards my culture a bit I know but I like that!

Pity they haven't included childminders and pre-schools - I think we'd have got behind it a lot more if they'd acknowledged we are struggling too :rolleyes:

They exclude CMs at their peril !....this is not about struggling ...it is about making this new scheme work and without CMs the fizz is definetely flat :rolleyes:

I am reading that many many providers are doing that...I have also sent it to Corbyn, Lucy Powell, Sharon Hodgson and Jenny Chapman who is the Shadow Childcare Minister....anyone you can think of is a 'target'.

parents are also been sent the link by providers via their website or FB page...do that if you can....or email.
It is certainly an eye opener to them and will inform them on what is to come....let's bust the myth about free childcare.

If things are bad now they will only get worse with the 30 hours and the new guidance for LA...do take a minute to read the impositions made on providers even before we have responded to the consultation.

Interesting enough, one of my local preschools is upping their paid for rate to be the same as their funding rate after Easter. This doesn't help with the champagne nursery, lemonade funding argument.

I have had a letter in reply to my email from my MP this morning. A letter with the House of Commons seal arriving is always exciting.
