Hi, I was wondering if anyone could give me some idea of when I might receive my certificate. I had my visit last Thursday and was told she would be advising I be registered etc... And she said I could start advertising so I have, but I'm a bit worried that knowing what ofsted are like I won't get it for a long time.

Hiya, I'm in the same position as you! I rang them today and he advised that they'd received the assessment from the agency who visited me so I'm pretty much good to go. But still want to wait for the certificate to come through! X
I was inspected last Tuesday, got a Welcome email from my local authority childcare team today so gave ofsted a call to see how long they'd be :-?)they said certificate was issued yesterday and should be with my by the weekend. They gave me my registration number over the phone.
I guess it won't take as long as all the other things then and I can ring up for my registration number if need be!

My certificate did indeed turn up today, so from inspection on the 26th to certificate on the 4th is pretty good, I reckon. It does depend how quickly your inspector completes her "toolbox" and submits it to Ofsted, apparently

I was inspected on 19th Jan and had my certificate by 4th Feb :)
Not too long thankfully, now to set everything up and paperwork printed into welcome packs!

Mine came today and my inspection was the 27th so same amount of time!

Is it correct that I need to get my public liability insurance now even though I'll be starting in September? Just want to check to make sure I've been given the correct information x
I don't think you need your insurance until you are working. You can buy it now though and say when you want it to start, so that could cover you either way! Then it won't renew until the following September.
