Getting excited now, finished my CYPOP5 course last week and now just sent off my ofsted application. Hope it doesn't take too long, I have seen on here that it has taken some of you months to get your visit.

Fingers crossed! :D
Well done, use your time wisely now to get prepared with all your paperwork, policies etc
Hello,
I'm just wandering how long approx. does the CYPOP5 course take to complete?
Many thanks
That depends on you. How much time are you going to dedicate to it. What policies and procedures do you have written already etc.
It took me 6 months but I was working full time night shifts and running my home at the same time. Also I could have dedicated more time to the work.
It took me about 2 months but again I could have spent more time but with 2 jobs some evenings I just couldn't get into it. The book that came from pacey was so helpful.
My council ran an intense course with two evening sessions a week and I completed all homework set before the next session and had it completed in the 4 weeks ( think I was the only one most took 2-3 months) it was hard going fitting in with all my existing commitments, but what frustrated me most was that it then took ofsted over 6 months to register me and some of the others who took 3 months to complete the course were actualy registered before me!
