My five year old son has asked for a metal detector and his own cleaning caddy so he can help me with the housework :D (he's absolutely obsessed with my vacuum cleaner).
I've just put in an order for this Zanussi Cleaning Trolley
when my son was that age he wanted blue tac, sellotape, envelopes and a stapler. We got a briefcase style cassette tape holder, took out the spacers and filled it with bits and pieces - he was thrilled. He also wanted an Atomic Kitten CD! He is now 16 and just wants Xbox games or a remote control car (mahoosive adult sort of one )
DD wanted to be a spy so we did the same thing with a briefcase for her - and added spy pen etc too
i had one of those cleaning trolleys last year - it sat in the cupboard unused for a year until i moved and gave it away! lol then again my DS has never been much of a cleaner!!
DH refuses to buy anything remoted one direction.... and I am not overkeen on him playing dream phone aimed at tweenage girls.... perhaps i'll just buy him the imac he's wanted for years!:laughing::laughing: oh and he also wants the barbie california dream house but i refuse to spend £125 on barbie tat!

my 7 year old step son(we have him half the week and everyother weekend) says his mam is getting him an IPAD ..!!! at least we know how shes spending the maintenance
My 5 year old DS is Star Wars mad and has asked Father Christmas for a Lego Millennium Falcon. He also wants the One Direction CD
Mrs Bunyip recently commented that I have more toys on my Christmas list than my grandchildren do. :D
I'm going to have a rethink and revert to my usual, old pre-registration Chistmas list. (She didn't like that one either.)
 Close, but more like this:-
Dear Santa,
This year I've been very good (even though no-one has noticed.)
Please may I have:-
- Snow.
- World peace.
- A weathergirl.
You may recall I've been asking for this for about the last 28 years, but only getting the usual old rubbish. Do you have a returns department?
Yours, etc.
Bunyip
P.S. Get it sorted, or there'll be a man-trap under the mince pies.
Your list is the wrong way round Bunyip - it should be
1. Snow
2. A weathergirl - in the snow ideally
3. World peace .... better to aim for the ones that are most likely to happen! :D
for christmas i don't want world peace, a day of peace to myself would be nice - but again world peace is more likely to happen!
My 6 year old wants slippers that look like wolfs and thats it! :)
Kids are funny
My two are older and it gets more expensive. My sons list (13) consists of two things:

Doggy Doo (stupid game)
A Onesie
Xbox live gold membership
And several other things

My teenagers have asked for a family day out to the sales. goodness knows what they are going to open on Christmas day
My 4 year old has asked for an i pod touch as her 13 year old sister has one and she uses it all the time. So we have bought it her between me and my mum but older daugther is not happy as we have ordered a white one and she wants it.
My 8 year old has written a letter. It went a bit like this....
Dear Santa,
Please can I have an XBox 360 and a tele in my room. If not, I would like a nerf gun.
Ha ha ha! Covering all budgets son!
DS age 10 wants a laptop OR an MP4 player!
DD age 7 wants all manner of plastic tat! DH is determined to buy her a new bike!
i want some toys ( as always and no one EVER buys them for me !! ) but i REALLY want some mirror trays ... i'm hoping to 'con' my mum that they are for use as 'normal' trays and hope!
Ah I miss having youngsters writing their lists!!! My sons are 19 and 21 now and absolutely no help when I ask what they want for christmas :(
When our eldest was aout 4 we went to see santa for the younger sons birthday (20th December) Santa asked what DS1 wanted for Christmas and he piped up "a remote control Thomas the Tank Engine" hadn't EVER been mentioned before  Good old santa pulled out all the stops and Christmas morning there was a remote control Thomas - lasted till all of boxing Day as in those days the remote control was attached to the engine with a wire and 4 boys v 1 train didn't work very well :D
